This residence is in two parts near the Belongil Beach in Byron Bay. The front part is a studio/garage and the rear section is a 2 storey house. The house was innovative at the time as it used curved colorbond roofs. The quarter cylinder roof was the first to be built in the north coast of NSW as far as the author is aware. This house was featured in the Architectural Bulletin published by the NSW Chapter of the RAIA in 1983. This type of roof later became very popular in many parts of Australia.
