COMPLETED RENOVATION-KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM

Photo of the renovated kitchen and dining area showing the warm honey afternoon light reflected off the bamboo flooring. Obscure glass and timber fronted cupboards add interesting detail to the kitchen. The ceiling has recessed troffer panels, which add interesting vertical detail to the space. The kitchen and dining room flow onto the large deck for beach style living.

COMPLETED RENOVATION-VERANDAH

Photo of the new verandah. The large verandah acts as a great place to relax and entertain whilst taking in the breath taking view. The large bi-folding doors create easy access to the kitchen and dining and in turn make  the verandah, kitchen and dining large open spaces that flow together nicely.

COMPLETED RENOVATION- BATHROOM AND LAUNDRY

DEMOLITION STARTED January 2009

Photo of the old framing after the asbestos and aluminium claddings were removed. The centre gables was the original part of the building with the sides and western deck and bathroom added later. The original gable can be seen with the new additions framed over. The eastern timber walls were sitting straight on the ground!!! The eastern wall had been badly eaten by termites and damaged by rot. The new building will take the same building footprint and configuration.

Computer model of the completed cottage from the west. On the right is the new spacious main bedroom linked to the main building with a light filled, airy gallery. The old deck has new balustrading and roof covering over to shelter the doors and windows from rain and sun while still allowing the view to the surf and creating a spacious outdoor living/eating area.
